Sporthotel Rasen is the ideal starting point for your Dolomites ski holidays! A ski holiday in Kronplatz (approx. 4km from Rasen) means over 100km of slopes on South Tyrol’s highest skiable mountain. And if that’s still not enough: add a little something extra to your ski holiday in the Dolomites and make your way over to the slopes of Alta Badia in the famous Sella Ronda. A very convenient shuttle bus connects the two ski resorts.

A ski bus leaves several times a day from Rasen to Kronplatz (15 minute journey) and to the biathlon centre at the end of the Antholzer Tal. At the nearby ski and snowboarding schools Cimaschool and Olang-Rasen you can book single or group tuition. For young skiers in the making Kronplatz has a ski kindergarten with day care facilities. Of course there is also ski equipment hire available at the rental shop in Rasen as well as at the ski terminal in Kronplatz.

World-ranked biathletes and cross-country skiers rate the Antholzer Tal circuits very highly. The Antholzer Tal Cross-Country Ski School offers tuition (in cross-country skiing and biathlon) at the Antholzer Tal's Biathlon Centre.

But holidays in Kronplatz are not just Dolomites ski holidays: The Antholzer Tal has a great deal for non-skiers too. The prepared footpaths in this romantic winter landscape are a tremendous incentive to go on a hike. Those in search of active or quieter pursuits will find their own winter wonderland here in the Antholzer Tal. Why not also have a go at a tobogganing excursion, or our weekly “Gästelattlschießen” (a particular type of curling) or take part in a snow-shoeing expedition? For those who like “tougher” sports, you could take in a live ice hockey match featuring the top Italian ice hockey league: HC Pustertal plays its home games in the ice rink in Bruneck.
